Remaking Super Mario World in Godot

As a personal warm-up project to gain experience with the Godot game engine, I'm recreating Super Mario World in Godot. I chose to recreate an existing game because it gives me a concrete goal to work towards, and I chose Super Mario World because it's very familiar to me through ROM hacking.

I'm also delving more into video editing by making videos about the project on YouTube, somewhere between devlog and explainer.

I'm going to publish the source code of this project eventually — not necessarily as a user-friendly platformer engine, or even a full recreation of the whole game (we'll see how far I get), but as a personal project I'm happy to share.
